prayer ministry

Many people at St Oswald’s can testify to answered prayer and we have been able to share, with great rejoicing, in miracles and blessings. Prayer is our way of talking to God and Jesus promised that when two or three are gathered in His name then He is in the midst of them. It is with these things in mind that Prayer Ministry is offered during the administration of communion.

This is on the first and third Sundays during the 9am service and on the second, fourth and fifth Sundays during the 10.30am service. Members of the prayer ministry team are always available to pray with you especially after a service – the names of the team members can be found on the Prayer Ministry information cards in the pews. Requests for prayer are confidential*. The team does not offer counselling or advice but offers requests or thanks up to God.

We have a prayer tree on the left hand side of church and everyone is welcome to leave prayer requests on the tree for members of the prayer ministry team to pray for on your behalf.

For more information or if you wish to join the prayer ministry team, please contact Jackie Tuvey-Smith on 01904 728139 or email jts@tuveystrinkets.co.uk.
